Ananya is the co-founder of Project Khaangchu and an educator with three years of experience in Public Health and Education. She envisions a future where every child can access contextualized, relevant education regardless of their background or circumstances. Through her work, she seeks to influence a collective: a passionate community of educators, parents, policymakers, and concerned citizens who share her vision of educational equity.
Project Khaangchu pioneers a transformative educational model rooted in the indigenous knowledge systems of the Rongmei Nagas in Northeast India. By reviving the traditional Khaangchu and contextualizing education within the tribe, we envision creating safe, democratic spaces where Rongmei learners can authentically explore and express their identity. Through experiential learning and local resource utilization, we aim to eliminate the dual realities learners face, bridging the gap between conventional education and their lived experiences.
