Shaikh Iqra

Iqra’s professional journey began in the dynamic world of engineering and startups, where she gained experience in prestigious incubators like NSRCEL. She then pursued academic research at IIT Bombay and a Fellowship at Ledby Foundation, a Harvard-based program. These experiences ignited a passion for education and inspired her to begin working with students from low-income communities in Vikhroli, Mumbai. Recognizing the need for a more comprehensive approach, she recently co-founded Pikademy.

Pikademy, a newly launched school based in Mumbai, redefines education by emphasizing student agency. Students design their own schedules and develop a creator mindset through makerspace and entrepreneurship programs. Exploration drives learning, with outdoor activities and weekly trips replacing traditional instruction. Teachers facilitate rather than lead. Pikademy nurtures future innovators and cultivates real-world leadership skills.
